About

good is a new type of place in Buchanan Galleries. It offers an open space to learn about some of the organisations across Glasgow and the West of Scotland that are making a difference to your community every day. good is managed by Kibble – one of Scotland’s oldest charities working with children and young people.

We aim to tell you all about local charities and social enterprises, and how they help people every day. At good, you can find out about our important work at Kibble. There are also other opportunities such as volunteering or working for us.

But we’re offering more than just information. Each week we’ll be offering our space to a different organisation from across the West of Scotland so they can get more involved with the wider community. We’ll have something for everyone whether it is arts, drama, music, community events, seminars or children’s activities. Every month we’ll have a different theme for these activities from Volunteering to Emergency Services. You can find out more about this on our events page and check out our ‘Get Involved’ page to see how you can get involved.

If you’re waiting for an upcoming event, feel free to call in and contribute to our Podcast – good stories. Our ‘Bletherbooth’ is right here in good and its name describes what it is – an audio booth for you to blether. You can talk about anything you like!

Kibble

Kibble is one of Scotland’s oldest charities delivering education and care services to vulnerable young people. Kibble provides a place of safety, structure and stability, opening up new possibilities for young people to play a useful part in society and prepare them for a happy and fulfilled adult life.

KibbleWorks

KibbleWorks is the employment and training arm of Kibble, offering intensively supported transitional employment placements for young people aged 16-29. From our collection of social enterprises, we provide employability support during placements, addressing social inequalities and improving the chances of young people at a high risk of long-term marginalisation to move into the labour market or further training.

The Experience

The Experience is a social enterprise leisure complex and young workforce development centre. Here, young people with barriers to employment receive practical training and support. The Experience is also an award winning 5 star Visit Scotland leisure venue; it is home to Scotland’s only fleet of electric go-karts as well as a café, laser tag, and conference facilities.
